11/27: How to give oral presentations and incorporating Instagram to the classroom experience

Hi Students! Welcome back from Thanksgiving break!

Today's class will be the final lesson I will be leading. After this, you all will run the show! Before that, we'll need to go over some oral presentation tips to make sure we are on the same page before presenting next week. In addition, I am eager to discuss incorporating Instagram as part of the oral presentations, but we'll discuss that in a separate presentation.

First of all, form small groups and go over The Ten Presentation Commandments before we discuss this together as a class.

Next, we will follow this presentation more or less in the following time frame:

5:10: Slide 2: Presentation tips

5:15: Create a 2-3 slide presentation about: The Role of English Currently in Your Life. Be brief! The good, the bad, the ______________???!

5:25: Present to the other groups in 2-3 minutes! Remember, classmates will be checking the list of tips previously discussed.

5:45: Group discussion of overall feedback on presentations

5:50: Take a look at this Instagram presentation to find out what you will need to learn for the oral presentations.

6:10: Housekeeping. We will touch base on individual conferences that will take place from Wednesday-Friday.
