11/13: Debating skills and debate!
Hi students!
Today will be our great debate! I hope everyone is prepared to take any position as the role you will be assigned to is a surprise!
Before starting the debate though, we'll go over a Debating Skills PPT Presentation.
The following handouts will also be used in class today:
1. Debate Schedule: It is important that you revise this document since time management is crucial in debates!!! Also, you will get an idea of how the layout will be.
2. Debate Reflection and Jury Deliberation: The first page of this handout should be completed by the pro/con team members individually. Pages 2-3 should be completed by the jurors as a group. The moderators can also complete pages 2-3.
After going over the presentation, you all will run the show! Have Fun!!!
