10/23: Peer review of summary and synthesis charts
Hi Students!
Today will be dedicated to completion of each source of the 3 points you will choose to write about, and to conduct in-class writing for your draft summary.
As we have noticed that it may become difficult, the following points can serve as guides:
1) Age- How does TV affect certain age groups?
2) Type of TV- What kind of television is discussed? Is it positive or negative?3) Effect on relationships- How does TV effect relationships?4) Sources- What sources did the writers use (surveys, personal experiences, statistics, etc.)5) Target audience- Who are the writers specifically speaking to?6) Parental Roles- What should parents do to help their children get the most benefit/least harm out of television?
Remember to only choose 3 points.
This will be the final opportunity to work in class with this assignment so take advantage of this time to ask questions, verify points with sources, and to make sure you leave with a solid chart and the beginnings of your draft summary, which is due on October 25th.
